World Superbikes: Supersport 600 my favveesss

These three guys are my favourite Supersport riders. Chaz Davies, Gino Rea and Eugene Laverty (Although he's just moved up to World Superbikes). These have some of the best racing stories. It seems that Chaz Davies has raced everywhere! In the 250cc motoGP...AMA...now Supersport. Eugene Laverty's family are born racers and extremely good racers. Whereas Gino Rea started off on MX tracks on the bumpy stuff but got spied by James Toseland's manager who quickly got Gino onto circuit racing and well why look back?

It's not just their backgrounds but they all are amazing riders. The best thing about Chaz Davies and Eugene Laverty is that where they have so much experience they keep a cool head and always get the job done - like all the drama in the penultimate round of the season that race threw all the Supersport grid into chaos the number of crashes, mechanicals etc... Davies kept going but only to retire on the last corner with a mechanical fault and  for Laverty to take out Sofouglu which is unlike him - but hey when fighting to the death for a championship these things have to be done and Sofouglu probably doesn't care now because he ended up winning (DAMMIT!!) Anyway....Gino Rea is fantastic for the short amount of time he's had on circuit racing he's done wonders!! In 2009 he was the Superstock 600 champion by 1 point. Talk about pressure to win and he did it alright! And for his first season in Supersport he did fantastic and undeservedly got punted off by Pirro at Misano when he was a having a great race. But the highlight of the season must of been his podium at Silverstone...he kept on at Laverty and Sofouglu like a rash!! But glad there was 2 Brits on the podium!!

My Supersport faves...
